Herring is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with Omega-3, protein, fat, and vitamin D.
Herring is an ideal fish to feed due to its small size (low biomagnification of toxins), but it is quite oily, so introduce it slowly to prevent digestive upset! (Herring has less of a fishy smell than sardines)
For added safety, the herring was frozen for 3+ weeks at below −20°C prior to freeze-drying.

Our freeze-dried treats are naturally preserved by removing moisture, but proper storage is key to maintaining freshness. Shelf life is significantly shortened when moisture, air, or contaminants are introduced.
Unopened: Store sealed bags in a cool, dark, and dry location for up to 2 years.
Opened:
- Room temperature: Up to 1 month
- Refrigerated: Up to 5 months
- Frozen: Up to 1 year
To maximize freshness, keep treats sealed when not in use and avoid introducing moisture or contaminants when handling.

The freeze dried herring is a BIG hit in this household. My dogs are hooked!
The herring slices are incredible, you can see all the insides perfectly shaped in every piece. My dogs go nuts for one of these. It's great to take a few in my treat pouch and break into smaller pieces.
